How Does Virtue RF Treatment Work?
The Virtue RF device delivers radiofrequency energy through microneedling. Tiny needles create microchannels in the skin, triggering a wound-healing response that stimulates new collagen production. Unlike traditional microneedling, Virtue RF needles also emit controlled RF energy from their tips, which creates heat in the dermis. This heat accelerates collagen and elastin production while also contracting existing collagen fibers, leading to immediate skin tightening. Over the next few weeks, the increased collagen levels result in firmer, smoother, and more youthful skin.
Though commonly performed on the face, neck, and décolleté, Virtue RF can be used on various areas of the body, including the arms, abdomen, glutes, and thighs.
What to Expect During Treatment?
Your appointment typically lasts about one hour, with the procedure itself taking 15-30 minutes. Here's what you can expect:

Preparation: The treatment area will be cleansed, and a topical anesthetic will be applied to ensure comfort during the procedure.

Procedure: Once the numbing cream takes effect, the provider will use the handpiece to insert sterile needles at the required depth (up to 6mm or 0.25 inches). The handpiece will emit the preselected amount of RF energy while moving over the treatment area.
Post-Treatment Care.
After the procedure, your provider will apply a moisturizer rich in antioxidants, hydrating, and anti-inflammatory ingredients. Most patients can resume normal activities immediately. Pinpoint bleeding should stop within minutes, and discomfort should subside within a few hours. For the rest of the day, avoid strenuous activities, makeup, and hot showers. Redness and swelling will gradually diminish by the following day. To protect the treated area, avoid direct sunlight for 48 hours, and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+).
When Will You See Results?
You may notice some immediate improvements within a day or two, such as brighter, firmer skin and smaller pores. For optimal results, 3 to 6 treatments are recommended, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. While significant improvements in acne scars and stretch marks may require additional sessions, full results typically appear 3 to 6 months after your final treatment. Complementary skin rejuvenation treatments, such as PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or Cool Peel (fractional laser resurfacing), are often recommended for enhanced results.
